Cristiano Ronaldo recently sat down with MrBeast on his new show to discuss a range of topics, including records, football, and his personal life.
Cristiano Ronaldo introduced his special guest on his YouTube channel and had a conversation with MrBeast, the world’s largest YouTuber.
Just a few days ago, Ronaldo announced that he intended to “blow up the internet” with his new guest on his YouTube channel, and today he revealed this special guest.
As expected, the special guest was MrBeast, the most famous YouTuber in the world, who holds the record for the most followers and video views on the platform. Interestingly, despite Ronaldo’s claim, it seems that the video may not break records on YouTube. The video of the interview between Ronaldo and MrBeast reached 3.7 million views within the first two hours of its release, while the current record is held by the release of the first trailer for GTA 6, which amassed 10 million views in the first hour.
The video starts with Ronaldo welcoming MrBeast to his home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The full conversation between the two follows. The title of the show is “The Best vs. The Beast.”
Ronaldo: How did you feel when you saw I was starting my own channel?
MrBeast: Honestly, I thought you’d have 20-30 million followers in the first month, and when you hit 60 million, I was like, “Oh my God!” Before you, the highest was 20 million in the first month.
Ronaldo: How long did it take you to reach 60 million?
MrBeast: I think it took me 13 years!
Ronaldo: Do you think I can surpass you?
MrBeast: It depends on what you do. If you bring in other footballers and talk about your best games, I think it’ll explode.
Ronaldo: But your YouTube record is yours, and honestly, I don’t want to break that record.
MrBeast: You have a billion followers on social media, and I want a billion subscribers on YouTube. Right now, we’re at 324 million.
Ronaldo: What do you think about my YouTube channel?
MrBeast: You’re still a professional footballer, and you’re very busy. Your biggest asset is that anyone you want is willing to film with you, and you can make videos with some amazing people. You should bring in Tom Brady or Speed. I loved the video you did about the top 10 goals you’ve scored, especially when you talked about that incredible bicycle kick goal. That’s a goal I’ve watched 100 times before. That’s why we love you.
MrBeast: How did you feel when your followers on social media reached a billion?
Ronaldo: It was a huge success, but honestly, I wasn’t too surprised. I know how much passion people have for me and football. I was happy, but not shocked.
Ronaldo: In which country do you have the most fans?
MrBeast: Whenever we go to South America, people are incredible. One time in Chile, we were kicked out of our hotel because fans were sitting in the lobby and had surrounded the hotel. You must have had similar experiences. But I’m just a down-to-earth guy, and I still fly on regular flights.
Ronaldo: I haven’t flown on a regular flight in years.
MrBeast: I know. I’d pay to see a regular flight with Ronaldo on board. I want to see the reactions of people when they realize Ronaldo is traveling with them. I’m not as famous as you, but when I sit on a plane, people constantly want to take pictures. Imagine when you’re on a plane—everyone in the cabin would crowd around your seat.
Ronaldo: I’m 39 years old, just over 39…
MrBeast: Almost 40.
Ronaldo: Yeah, almost 40. But I plan to live until I’m 100. Just so you know! In football, that’s a very long career, because most people retire at 33, 34, or 36.
MrBeast: You’re the LeBron James of football.
Ronaldo: Yeah. My question is, when are you going to retire from being a YouTuber?
MrBeast: Never. Never. I’ll keep going until I’m 90 or 100. You know, once I was buried in a coffin for a week, under tons of dirt. Just for YouTube. We live-streamed it.
Ronaldo: You didn’t move for a week? Unbelievable. What’s the video that got the most views for you?
MrBeast: We recreated Squid Game and got 600 million views.
Ronaldo: Do you like other sports?
MrBeast: I love basketball. Do you watch basketball?
Ronaldo: Not much.
MrBeast: When I see LeBron playing with his son, it’s amazing. Do you think that could happen in football?
Ronaldo: Maybe. My son is 14 now. Maybe when he’s older, around 17.
MrBeast: Maybe when he’s 17. So, you’ll need to play for three more years.
Ronaldo: We’ll see. It depends on how my legs hold up.
MrBeast: What’s your biggest game here? Who’s your biggest rival?
Ronaldo: Al Hilal.
MrBeast: So, let me know whenever you play against Al Hilal.
Ronaldo: For sure. I’ll invite you myself.
MrBeast: But if I come, you have to win.
Ronaldo: Don’t worry. You’re my guest, and I’d be happy if you came anytime.
